What is prancercise?
Prancercise is a type of exercise that is supposedly based on the way horses walk. It is also referred to as horse-prancing type of exercise because of its rhythmic and often hilarious steps. For the most part, prancercise involves bouncing steps in a rhythmic pattern. This particular exercise was said to be created back in the late 1980s by Joanna Rohrback. It is said that prancercising is best done after a supposed feeling of elation. For prancercise believers, the feeling of elation is considered an integral part into making the rhythmic and bouncy moves.
In the past, Ms. Rohrback’s instructional video was responsible for making prancercise known to some people across the US and other areas. Advocates of this exercise believe that prancercising is a great way to have and fun and exercise at the same time. With the seemingly funny movements and steps, there are also many critics of this so-called exercise technique. The old video of the late 1980s has also recently resurfaced in the internet world and has become one of the many popular and trending videos around. Many sceptics point out though that the popularity of the prancercise video does not mean that it has a created or resurrected an exercise craze. Critics of prancercising believe that the video’s popularity is due to the funny moves and hilarious techniques. In today’s modern world, many people would also believe on the latter argument wherein people are basically amused of the funny moves in prancercising. Prancercising’s popularity for the critics is unfortunately for the wrong reasons. Despite the supposed physical benefits of prancercise, critics have pointed out that people are only interested in it because of the goofy techniques and moves. Whether a person wants to really try out prancercise as a way to burn calories or lose weight for example, it is really up to them if they are willing to perform the funny movements and techniques.
