iWoork is a productivity suite from Apple Inc. and is designed to work on iOS on computers and OS X operating system on mobile devices such as the iPad.  iWork is basically apple’s own version of an “Office” application that helps users manage and create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. When it comes to productivity suites and products, Microsoft Office on the Windows environment is considered the most popular in many desktop computers and its mobile version has also become a hit.  Apple’s iWork meanwhile does not have all the advanced features of Microsoft Office but has enough of them for the basic home user or small business owner.

Similar to basic Office features, Apple’s iWork has also three standard applications as part of the productivity suite.  The Pages application is iWork’s own word processor similar to Microsoft Word. Through iWork Pages, users can create documents and use images and charts with various formatting features.  Not all so-called advanced features may be present but most home and small enterprise users will be able to have their word processing requirements met with Pages.  The Numbers application meanwhile performs the task of spreadsheet organizer.  Aside from the basic graphical elements, there are also useful formulas for basic and simple computations.  Keynote app meanwhile is iWork’s presentation tool.  The mobile version of Keynote is considered the best in terms of features because they resemble closely to that of the desktop version.

Apple’s iWork is not necessarily the most powerful in terms of features but home and small enterprise users can be satisfied with the built-in formatting tools.  Most people will just need a basic word processor or a simple presentation that some advanced features are not actually applicable.  The best thing about iWork is that its featured applications can be used interchangeably in both desktop and mobile operating systems and platforms.
